ThePlatform to Distribute Exercise TV Videos

As it expands its slate of online offerings, Exercise TV has struck a deal with Internet-TV technology provider thePlatform, which will distribute content for the digital video network.
ExerciseTV will use thePlatform to publish free Web video workouts and download-to-own titles online.
ExerciseTV began as a video-on-demand service and has expanded to include broadband distribution. The network recently launched an extensive online store with fitness titles to download and to burn to disk.
Online, thePlatform will power more than 200 download-to-own titles, Exercise TV said. thePlatform competes with other Internet TV technology firms such as Brightcove, Maven Networks, Narrowstep, WhiteBlox, Magnify and others.
ExerciseTV has generated more than five million views for its VOD content.
