WRC-TV Finance Director Jackie Bradford has been promoted to president and general manager of KNSD-TV in San Diego. Both stations are owned and operated by NBC Universal.
At KNSD, Ms. Bradford succeeds Phyllis Schwartz, who was promoted to executive VP of news, promotion and original content for NBC Local Media Division, as NBC’s owned-and-operated stations group is known now.
Ms. Bradford will report to NBC Local Media Division President John Wallace, who announced her appointment Wednesday.
“Jackie is a great fit for this role,” Mr. Wallace said. “She is a talented executive whose creativity and business acumen make her the right leader to continue KNSD’s evolution from a local television station to a multiplatform local media provider.”
Ms. Bradford joined WRC in 2000 after having been an e-business leader with GE Capital Real Estate Services from 1998 to 2000. She also was a manager of finance for NBC News for one year. Ms. Bradford joined GE in 1995 as a member of the company’s financial management program, during which time she held various financial positions with GE Real Estate, GE Money and Corporate Treasury. She began her career working on Capitol Hill for former Sen. Richard Bryan, D-Nev.
