Extended episodes of “American Gladiators” and “Deal or No Deal” brought NBC another Monday victory (five in a row, for those keeping score), while ABC’s “Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann” sputtered, posting its lowest showing to date in the 18- to 49-year-old demo.
According to preliminary Nielsen numbers, 90-minute episodes of “Gladiators” (3.7) and “Deal” (4.2) put NBC in first with a 4.0. “Deal” walked away with the win for the night.
New episodes of “Prison Break” (3.3) and “Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles” (3.5, tying last week’s showing) helped Fox take second with a 3.4.
Airing mostly reruns, save for new episodes of “Welcome to the Captain” (2.6) and “The New Adventures of Old Christine” (3.3), landed CBS in third (2.9).
“Christine” is actually up about 3% over last week’s showing, its season premiere.
“Dance War” continues its slide, showing a 2.4, down 20% from its premiere and off 4% from last week. “Dance War” has shown a consistent decline over its first five showings.
However, the show still managed to win in total viewers for each half-hour it was on.
New episodes of “Notes From the Underbelly” (1.4) and “October Road” (1.6) couldn’t save ABC from fourth for the night (2.0).
The CW showed a repeat of “Gossip Girl” (0.4) and two new episodes of “Girlfriends” (0.7, 0.9) for fifth place (0.6).
