Lionsgate announced two promotions in its television arm today. Barbara Wall and Andy Richley were named executive vice president and vice president of development, respectively, of television at the independent entertainment studio.
Ms. Wall, who joined Lionsgate in 2005, previously was executive vice president of production and development at Landscape Entertainment, and before that held the same title at Heel and Toe Films, where she helped develop the pilot for Fox’s “House.”
Mr. Richley joined Lionsgate in 2004 from a position in drama development at ABC. He will continue to focus on development of scripted and alternative programming in his new position.
“Barbara’s extraordinary creative instincts, experience and industry relationships have been vital to our division’s growth,” said Kevin Beggs, president of television at Lionsgate, “and Andy is one of the most talented and dedicated TV executives in the business. We’re extremely fortunate to have both on our team as we continue to build on our success.”
Lionsgate’s television production slate includes AMC’s “Mad Men,” Showtime’s “Weeds,” new suspense/horror anthology series “Fear Itself” for NBC, new original drama series “Crash” for Starz and an untitled comedy pilot for Showtime starring Edie Falco.
