Brightcove Expands Distribution Reach

Online video content management company Brightcove has inked distribution deals with social networking sites Bebo and Slide, Web video sites Meebo and Veoh and widget creator and distributor RockYou.
Through the deal, Brightcove’s customers will have access to the new partners’ distribution models and services, tapping into the sites’ combined monthly audience of more than 300 million viewers.
“Our distribution partners represent the fastest-growing segments of the social Web and hold enormous potential for our media customers to grow online audiences and scale their advertising inventory,” Brightcove Chairman-CEO Jeremy Allaire said. “Using our Internet TV platform to manage and monetize [viral] distribution answers these dual requirements of reach and control [for brand experience and advertising sales].”
