Five-time NBA All-Star Chris Webber will join Turner Sports’ analysis team on its TNT, NBA.com and NBA TV properties.
Mr. Webber will make regular appearances on Turner’s television and digital platforms through the remainder of the network’s NBA Playoffs coverage, as a regular analyst on TNT and NBA TV, and as the host of a weekly broadband series on TNT Overtime on NBA.com.
His first appearance will be Sunday on Turner’s NBA studio show alongside Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley. Mr. Webber will return to the studio the next day to begin regular weekly playoff commentary on “The Webb Report” on NBA.com. He plans to make numerous appearances on NBA TV throughout the post-season.
Mr. Webber was only the sixth player in NBA history to average more than 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists per game in his career, during which he played for the Golden State Warriors, Washington Bullets, Sacramento Kings, Philadelphia 76ers and Detroit Pistons.
“We have had Chris in as a guest on our NBA studio show on a number of occasions and have always thought highly of his abilities to be both candid and outgoing,” said Jeff Behnke, senior VP of Turner Sports. “We are excited to have Chris join us and look forward to providing NBA fans with a glimpse at his unique personality through a myriad of platforms during our NBA Playoffs coverage.”
