MyNetworkTV has confirmed that it will run new episodes of its returning shows “Jail,” “Street Patrol” and the special-turned-series “Magic’s Biggest Secrets Revealed” for this fall. New series “Funniest Moments” (a working title for a humorous caught-on-tape series) will also debut.
“MyNetworkTV brings a powerful punch this fall as the slate of programming includes proven entertainment franchises, top theatrical blockbusters, one-of-a-kind special presentations and returning favorites,” network President Greg Meidel said.
The most powerful punch for MyNetworkTV may be World Wrestling Entertainment’s “WWE Smackdown,” which makes its jump to the network on Oct. 3 after ending its run on The CW.
The network will continue to show feature-length films during its “Thursday Night Action Packed Movies” and “Saturday Night at the Movies.” “Batman Returns,” “Passenger 57,” “Napoleon Dynamite” and “Dr. Dolittle” are among those features.
Audiences can also expect the “2008 World Magic Awards” and “2008 World Music Awards” during the fall, in addition to an update on the familiar roast format “Toasted, Not Roasted.” The network will round out the fall with holiday specials during the month of December.
