The Onion News Network, “Hometown Baghdad” and “You Suck at Photoshop” cleaned up in the 12th annual Webby Awards competition, which honors excellence on the Web.
The winners were announced today in several categories and will be honored at a gala event June 9 in New York.
The Onion News Network won both a Webby and a Webby People’s Voice Award in the comedy category for its “Country Music Stars Challenge Al-Qaeda With Patriotic New Song ‘Bomb New York’.”
My Damn Channel’s “You Suck at Photoshop” also took home both a Webby Award and a Webby People’s Voice Award for the how-to and DIY category.
The Onion News Network picked up both awards in the writing category.
In the viral video category, the Webby went to “Here Comes Another Bubble”, a spoof of the next dot-com bust, while Tay Zonday’s “Chocolate Rain” was the people’s choice.
Established media brands including National Geographic, Discovery and G4 also won Webby awards.

  1. You guys have a great blog going here, KIU!

  2. iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

  3. Amazing freakin blog here. I almost cried while reading it!

  4. Keep focusing on your blog. I love how we can all express our feelings. This is an extremely nice blog here 🙂

  5. This is the best blog I’ve ever seen in my life! I really appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to share your this with everyone.

  6. I love the way you write and also the theme on your blog. Did you code this yourself or was it done by a professional? I’m very very impressed.

  7. Interesting thoughts here. I appreciate you taking the time to share them with us all. It’s people like you that make my day 🙂

  8. I like this data shown and it has given me some sort of desire to have success for some reason, so thanks.
