Dughi Promoted at Cowles

Paul Dughi has been promoted to president of Cowles California Media and KION-TV, the chain’s CBS-affiliated station in Salinas, Calif.
Mr. Dughi will report to Betsy Cowles, the chairman of Cowles California Media and Cowles Company.
Mr. Dughi began his broadcasting career in 1991 at KHQ-TV, Cowles’ NBC affiliate in Spokane, Wash., as news director, On his subsequent rise, Cowles named him general manager of NBC-affiliated KNDO/KNDU-TV in the Yakima and TriCities area of Washington state in 2001. In 2006, he was named the group’s technology VP. Since May he also has served as interim general manager of KCOY-TV, Cowles’ Fox-affiliated station in Santa Maria, Calif.
In other management changes announced Tuesday, Patricia McRae was named president of KHQ Inc., which owns KHQ-TV and KNDO/KNDU-TV. Larry Forsgren was named general manager of KNDO/KNDU.
Ms. McRae first joined the company as news director of KHQ in 1993. Her promotion means she will oversee KHQ and KNDO/KNDU. She also will report to Ms. Cowles.
Mr. Forsgren joined KNDO/KNDU in 2006 as general sales manager. He will report to Ms. McRae.
