Tim Knox has been appointed vice president of business development at IMG.
Mr. Knox joins the sports and entertainment company from Richard Childress Racing, where he managed marketing partnerships with Shell Oil Co., Holiday Inn, the U.S. Coast Guard and General Mills, among others. Before that, he was vice president of marketing for Rusty Wallace Inc., a NASCAR racing and marketing team.
“We are delighted to welcome Tom to IMG to be our motor sports point person in Charlotte,” George Pyne, president of IMG, said in a statement Wednesday. “During his impressive career at both Richard Childress Racing and Rusty Wallace Inc., Tom developed a solid sales and marketing reputation, the kind of experience that will be enormously valuable as he helps lead our expanding motorsports business.”
IMG Sports & Entertainment is a Charlotte, N.C.-based multinational corporation that specializes in consulting services, event ownership and management, fashion events and model representation, licensing and sports representation.

  1. I am curious to know if Tim Knox is working for your company. As the leader of your motorsports business, I hope that his attitude and behavior toward women and minorities is “appropriate!” If I were anywhere that had anything to do with your business, I would be reluctant to participate based on his suspension related to NASCAR. He deserves a day in court, but NASCAR did not wait, so if you or anyone suggests I should wait, I’ll remember that each time I realize NASCAR did not wait!

  2. I agree with your thoughts here and I really love your blog! I’ve bookmarked it so that I can come back & read more in the future.
