Kevin Bennett has been promoted to vice president of programming and development for Discovery Emerging Networks. He will be responsible for overseeing programming strategies and development for Investigation Discovery and Military Channel.
Bennett has worked in programming and development for Discovery Communications for 12 years, helping to develop Discovery Health Channel, Discovery Times Channel and Investigation Discovery. He most recently was the director of programming and development for Investigation Discovery and Military Channel.
“Kevin’s enthusiasm, dedication and depth of knowledge have been critical in elevating every television network he has worked on throughout his career at Discovery,” Deborah Myers, senior VP of programming for Discovery Emerging Networks, said in a statement. “Most recently, his vision and hard work helped us define both Military Channel and Investigation Discovery by enhancing each network’s breadth of programming and contributing to their exponential growth.”
