Darrell K. Brown has been named president of McGraw-Hill Broadcasting. He steps in for Edward J. Quinn, who will be retiring after 22 years at the company.
Brown is currently VP and general manager of Azteca America Colorado and KMGH-TV in Denver, one of the broadcasting group’s four ABC-affiliated stations. The other three ABC affiliates are KGTV in San Diego, WRTV in Indianapolis and KERO in Bakersfield, Calif. The group also owns three Spanish-language Azteca America affiliates and the stations’ Web sites.
“Darrell brings to his new role strong leadership experience, deep expertise in the broadcasting industry and extensive knowledge of our local markets,” Glenn S. Goldberg, president of McGraw-Hill Information and Media, said in a statement.
