NBC Will Use ‘Heroes’ to Reintroduce ‘Life’

NBC is hoping its “Heroes” can supply some ratings oxygen to sophomore drama “Life.”
As part of a scheduling tweak announced Monday at the TV Critics Association summer press tour, the network said it would double-pump “Life” the weeks of Sept. 29 and Oct. 6, airing original episodes of the show Mondays and Fridays at 10 p.m.
The move means “Life,” a procedural drama that garnered some critical buzz last season, will get some much-needed exposure behind “Heroes,” one of NBC’s biggest shows.
“Life” will settle into its regular 10 p.m. Friday on Oct. 10.
To help boost “Life,” NBC will delay the planned September premiere of new Christian Slater drama “My Own Worst Enemy” until Monday, Oct. 13, at 10 p.m. NBC sees a benefit to that, too: It now says “Enemy” will air without repeats through December.
As expected, NBC Monday also announced that comedy “Kath & Kim” is shifting to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, starting with its Oct. 9 premiere.
“The Biggest Loser: Families” will have its premiere Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m., while “America’s Got Talent” will air its finale Oct. 1.

  1. While it may be a good thing to run “My Own Worst Enemy” sans repeats in the fall, “Heroes” has shown no ability to supply any ratings to whatever follows. Both “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” and “Journeyman” can attest to that.

  2. What host are you using? Site loads very slowly for me.
