Comcast and Metro-Goldwyn Mayer Studios are teaming up for Impact, a video-on-demand channel devoted to action programming.
Impact will air action films and television shows, with many to be available in high definition.
The VOD channel’s programming will feature the James Bond films, “Rocky,” “The Magnificent Seven” and “RoboCop,” in addition to MGM films featuring Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone and Charles Bronson.
Impact also plans themed programming weeks devoted to popular action genres such as thrillers, crime, espionage, Westerns, war films and martial arts.
Impact will launch exclusively on Comcast’s VOD lineup this week.
“The Comcast on-demand platform is the perfect environment for targeted marketable brands and programming. With more than 1,000 titles in the MGM library that fit our new brand, I’m confident action fans will find Impact a one-stop destination for all of their action entertainment needs,” Jim Packer, co-president of MGM Worldwide Television, said in a statement.
