Granada America, the U.S. production division of the United Kingdom’s ITV, has promoted Sam Zoda from executive VP to chief operating officer.
Mr. Zoda joined Granada America in 2004 as senior VP of production, developing and producing such series as “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Kitchen Nightmares,” “Nanny 911” and “Celebrity Fit Club.”
Also, Julie Meldal-Johnsen has been named senior VP of business development, overseeing scripted and digital programming. Senior VP of Business Affairs Ivan Garel-Jones will be responsible for nonscripted programming.
“My decision to join Granada America last December was based in large part on the opportunity to work with this team, who have been the cornerstone of Granada America’s growth. It’s a pleasure to cement our core team as we move forward in sustaining our success in the U.S. while supporting ITV’s mandate to expand its global production business,” Paul Buccieri, president-CEO of Granada America, said in a statement.
