TelevisionWeek’s Pursell Joins Promax/BDA

Promax/BDA has named Christopher Pursell vice president of content innovation. He will step into the newly created position on Sept. 22.
Mr. Pursell will oversee editorial direction for all of Promax/BDA’s content platforms, including the organization’s quarterly print publication, DNA Magazine, and its digital newsletter, DNAOnline.
In addition, Mr. Pursell will contribute to session, panel and speaker development for Promax/BDA events and represent the organization and DNA at industry events.
Mr. Pursell has been deputy editor at TelevisionWeek since 2006. He joined the publication in 2000 as senior editor after working as a reporter and associate editor of special reports for Variety, Daily Variety and Variety.com. He also has served as a consultant for studios including Twentieth Television and Sony Pictures Television.
“As I delve into this new endeavor, I leave knowing that TelevisionWeek is in good hands and will continue to be in the forefront of television industry news,” said Mr. Pursell. “Having created and delivered content throughout my career, I now look forward to putting my editorial touch on Promax/BDA’s outlets and supporting the organization in its efforts to serve the community of marketers, promotion executives and design professionals.”
