Sep 4, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Dr. Phil McGraw unleashes the first spinoff of his popular daytime brand with the debut of “The Doctors” on Sept. 8.
Distributed by CBS Television Distribution, the one-hour daytime talk show will seek audiences through a roundtable discussion of medical and health advice dispensed daily by a panel of four “on-call” professionals.
EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: JAY MCGRAW

The series is hosted by ER doctor Travis Stork (best known for his stint on “The Bachelor”). Other experts making the rounds are Dr. Lisa Masterson, an obstetrician/gynecologist; Dr. Andrew Ordon, a plastic surgeon; and Dr. Jim Sears, a pediatrician. The cast will take on submitted questions, hot-button topics and try to clear up often-confusing information from the world of medicine.
“‘The Doctors’ is looking great right now,” said series creator and executive producer Jay McGraw. “There have been unbelievably high expectations for this show, and so far everything we’ve accomplished has exceeded those expectations. We have a great staff on board, terrific talent and we are already signing exclusive stories right and left.”
The series will be taped in front of a live audience in Hollywood. The show is produced by Stage 29 Productions, with Jay McGraw, Carla Pennington and Dr. Phil McGraw having executive-producer credits on the Monday-Friday show.
“When Jay brought along the concept for ‘The Doctors,’ I was not only excited about the idea, because we have the perfect platform on ‘Dr. Phil’ to introduce the concept, but it was also a tremendous opportunity for me because I would be able to do what I do on a daily basis as well as do something else that I have a passion for,” Ms. Pennington said.

  1. We are living in a sick care society and the drugs for the most part are making us sicker

  2. We have two kids in our extended family (one on my side and one on husband’s side) that became severely autistic within days after their vaccinations. Both were healthy up to the day of vaccination. Both are boys. Should I be weighing out pro’s and con’s of having my child vaccinated? Should I be bullied by the doctors ? Should I play Russian Roulettte with my child’s life? I think not! I don’t need science, literature, statistics, an article, medical journal, the government, a doctor or anyone else to tell me what I can see with my own two eyes ! As a medical professional myself, I think every parent should spend a day with an autistic child (God knows they are not hard to find these days) before they consider a vaccination for their own child.”

  3. Pharmaceutical companies spend more on marketing than research

  4. health care has been fashioned to wait till disease occurs and then treat its symptoms rather than causes. Preventive medicine is currently designed to screen for more disease to treat rather then prevent it from occurring in the first place.

  5. The Food & Drug Administration, Centers for Disease Control, National Institutes of Health and National Academy of Sciences collaborate to promote unsafe drugs, vaccines and treatments that are bankrupting America.

  6. I can’t stress this enough…VACCINATIONS CONTAIN POTENTIALLY CARSINOGENIC SUBSTANCES!!
Sadly us american’s follow the masses, believe what we are told, don’t ask questions, and place blind faith in our doctors. Where do doctors get thier medical training? Medical school, who funds most medical schools? Big Pharma. They brain wash students into believing that vaccinations are safe and prevent the spread of diseases. There is a HUGE financial incentive for Big Pharma to ‘peddle’ vaccinations…they make a fortune on the sales of these toxic cocktails.

  7. (how safe are they) 1.3. Billions of dollars of tax funds have already been paid out to families of vaccine-injured children

  8. “The combined profits for the ten drug companies in the Fortune 500 ($35.9 billion) were more than the profits for all the other 490 businesses put together ($33.7 billion). Over the past two decades the pharmaceutical industry has moved very far from its original high purpose of discovering and producing useful new drugs. Now primarily a marketing machine to sell drugs of dubious benefit, this industry uses its wealth and power to co-opt every institution that might stand in its way, including the US Congress, the FDA, academic medical centers, and the medical profession itself

  9. single vaccine given to a six pound newborn is the equivalent of giving a 180 pound adult 30 vaccination on the same day(DR BOYD NALEY PROFESSOR OF CHEMISTRY)

  10. The American Medical Association is a pro-pharmaceutical group with a dubious history of promoting extremely dangerous and deadly products

  11. Jock Doubleday, director of the California non-profit corporation Natural Woman, Natural Man, Inc., has offered $75,000 to the first medical doctor or pharmaceutical company CEO who publicly drinks a mixture of standard vaccine additives.
The additives would be the same as those contained in the vaccines recommended for a 6-year-old according to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, and the dose would be body-weight calibrated. It would include, but not be limited to:
    Thimerosal (a mercury derivative)
    Ethylene glycol (antifreeze)
    Phenol (a disinfectant dye)
    Aluminum
    Benzethonium chloride (a disinfectant)
    Formaldehyde (a preservative and disinfectant)
On August 1, 2007, if no one has taken the challenge, the offer will be increased to $90,000 and will increase at a rate of $5,000 per month until someone accepts.

  12. BIZARRO WORLD ,NO DRUG IS TOO DANGEROUS FOR F.D.A TO APPROVED

  13. How Big Pharma targets children for mass medication campaigns to generate obscene profits.
The truth about the FDA and why it now protects drug companies rather than public health.
How the unbridled power of corporations has corrupted modern medicine and politics.
How Americans are being poisoned right now with toxic chemicals dripped into municipal water supplies.
Why food companies are still treating consumers like guinea pigs through the use of unsafe chemical additives.
The scientific fraud behind the global fluoride scam.
Shocking details that call into question the integrity and ethics of the current head of the FDA.
The truth about osteoporosis drugs that drug companies will never voluntarily admit to.
Why statin drugs are extremely dangerous (and what to use instead).
Details on the FDA’s sinister plan to outlaw nutritional supplements and leave Americans in a state of lifelong nutritional deficiency that
    generates business for drug companies
The end of scientific skepticism and why doctors are now glorified drug dealers.
How we can WIN the war on health freedom and take back our health from the corporations and bureaucrats who are trying to destroy it!

  14. They did an investigation about how the pharmaceutical companies are funding all the research and spinning the trial results, so you can no longer really trust what you read in scientific journals. They pointed out that when they tried to get an expert to review the scientific literature related to antidepressants, they basically couldn’t find someone who hadn’t taken money from the drug companies

  15. The closer you look at conventional medicine, the more
you realize just how much it’s based on quackery. From the exaggerated
claims of drug advertisements (which imply that swallowing patented
chemicals will solve your life problems) to the absurd pro-drug,
anti-nutrition regulatory proclamations by the FDA, the modern U.S.
“sick care system” has become the laughing stock of the world.
Americans pay, by far, the highest fees in the world for health care
services, and yet we simultaneously suffer the highest rates of
degenerative disease in the world. Conventional cancer treatments,
which essentially involve varying degrees of poisoning patients with
either toxic chemicals or deadly radiation, have barely altered the
survival rates for cancer in three decades. Heart disease rates
continue to rise, diabetes is now an epidemic, and yet the drug
companies, mass media and FDA increasingly promote new fictitious
diseases in the hopes that they can sell even more dangerous
prescription medications to people who actually don’t need them.
Now here’s the funny part in all this: Desperate defenders of
conventional medicine — with all its toxic chemicals, drug-induced
deaths and fraudulent science — have the gall to call natural
medicine “quackery.” Anyone who promotes good nutrition through
supplements, vitamins or herbs is labeled a “quack,” and anyone who
dares question the sanctity of the cult of pharmacology is
discredited, attacked and sometimes even arrested and jailed. (See my
documented history of armed FDA raids against alternative doctors and
vitamin companies in my book Natural Health Solutions and the
Conspiracy to Keep You From Knowing About Them.
It’s all so hilarious that it makes you wonder how the so-called
“quack” police can continue to peddle their pro-drug propaganda with a
straight face. According to them, sunlight is useless for human
health, nutritional supplements have no impact on health, stress
reduction through relaxation exercises is some sort of senseless
voodoo and eating 100 calories of fresh produce has exactly the same
effect on your health as drinking 100 calories of a sugared-up soda
(to them, a calorie is a calorie, regardless of its source). Oh yeah,
and they also say aspartame and fluoride are completely safe to
swallow in unlimited lifetime quantities, with zero negative health
    effects.
In fact, the pushers of conventional medicine still believe that the
mind has no health impact on the body — a belief that was considered
modern in the 1870’s, but today, in 2007, it’s downright antiquated.
Don’t believe me? Just ask your doctor about “mind-body medicine” and
watch the condemnations roll off his tongue. M.D.s practicing today
literally believe the body is divided into isolated compartments that
have no effect on each other; hence the dividing up of doctor duties
into roles like foot doctor, ear doctor, eye doctor, brain doctor and
heart doctor. What happened to the WHOLE patient? You’d never see a
Chinese medicine doctor limiting their treatment to the feet. The very
    idea would be considered laughable.
Conventional medicine is outmoded and irrelevant to health
The entire belief system of conventional medicine truly belongs in the
history books, and yet scrappy old M.D.s who probably should have
retired ten years ago keep on pushing their Descartian distortions
onto the world. They literally believe that if everyone in the world
only had enough drugs in their bodies, we’d all be super healthy! If
we just had enough vaccines to shoot up all the babies, and enough
cholesterol drugs for all the senior citizens, and enough
antidepressants for all the middle-aged people, we’d all be healthier,
they claim. And the way to get more people healthier is to push more
drug ads, to mandate more vaccinations and require more “mental health
screening” of schoolchildren, just in case they might need ADHD drugs.
Sound insane? It is. And don’t believe for a minute that modern
medicine is based on anything resembling real science. The science was
abandoned decades ago. All that’s left today is an empty shell of a
medical system that claims to treat patients but really just uses them
as profit-generating machines to enrich some of the wealthiest
corporations in the world: the drug companies. All the while, the
deaths mount up… over half a million Americans killed by
prescription drugs since 9/11, and the number increases by the minute.
Imagine a modern nuclear missile striking a significant U.S. city,
killing all its inhabitants in an instant. That’s what pharmaceuticals
have done to Americans over the last five years. The casualties of Big
Pharma in just the last five years are now ten times larger than the
number of Americans killed in the Vietnam War. And that statistic, by
the way, comes straight from the Journal of the American Medical
Association, which studied deaths caused by prescription drug side
    effects.
Conventional medicine is dangerous to public health
Today, the sick care industry is a deadly industry mired in dishonest
advertising, corrupt regulators, brainwashed doctors, suppression of
alternative medicine and always power, money and greed. It has become
such a complete joke that modern medicine is actually harmful to the
public. In other words, Americans would actually be far healthier if
all the M.D.s, drug companies and FDA bureaucrats suddenly disappeared
tomorrow! Pharmaceutical use would plummet, side effects would vanish,
rates of fictitious disease diagnosis would drop to zero, and America
would be a healthier, happier country. Our sick care system is,
bluntly stated, keeping us all sick.
Doctors, of course, always talk about their evidence. “Where’s the
evidence that nutrition has any value?” they ask, as if drug companies
would suddenly fund randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled
studies on minerals that can’t be patented. And yet their own medical
journal evidence, to which they impart impressive degrees of
reliability and stature, is almost entirely based on fraudulent
science, designed specifically to achieve a statistical “success”
using any means necessary: fudging the numbers, removing samples that
don’t fit the desired curve, burying trials that showed negative
results, confusing correlation with causation and a hundred other
devious tricks. The medical journals themselves, in turn, are
financially supported by drug company ads, and they continue to
publish studies secretly authored by the drug companies themselves
(while utterly failing to disclose blatant conflicts of interest).
The so-called “evidence” supporting conventional medicine and the use
of most pharmaceuticals, it turns out, is almost entirely fictional.
It’s as if tens of thousands of people stood around and agreed to
pretend they were conducting real science, pretending to “search for
the cure,” pretending to regulate drug companies at the FDA,
pretending to dispense medicine at the local pharmacy and pretending
to be doing it all for the public good. It’s all a grand pretending
act — a great hoax on the American people.
Of course, the quack defenders of conventional medicine strongly
disagree with this — and that’s all part of their pretending, of
course. It’s their role to disagree with anything that challenges the
status quo. Their jobs and egos depend on it!
Why the status quo must be defended
Natural health is a huge threat to conventional medicine. If the
American public learned the truth about nutrition, herbs, sunlight,
acupuncture, superfoods and other naturopathic modalities, they would
drop their drugs in a minute and pursue the safe, natural and
non-patented therapies from the world of natural health. And that’s
precisely what Big Pharma cannot allow to happen. So drug companies
continue their campaigns of influence, corruption, buying off the
mainstream media and controlling the curricula at medical schools. The
American Medical Association, which has been suppressing alternative
medicine for literally decades, is perhaps the most visible defender
of the drugs-and-surgery approach to sick care, but even the AMA is
now increasingly being seen as hopelessly irrelevant and outdated.
The future of health will not be found in chemotherapy,
pharmaceuticals or unjustified surgical procedures. It will be found
in prevention, where people are taught how to prevent cancer,
diabetes, heart disease, depression, kidney stones, osteoporosis and
thousands of other health conditions to which conventional medicine
has assigned names. Disease prevention is the key to a healthy nation
and, indeed, a healthy world. And it is precisely “prevention” that
the sick care industry is opposed to. If diseases are all prevented,
where will they find paying customers? Preventing disease is the
fastest way to bankrupt Big Pharma.

  16. conventional medicine — which thrives on the proliferation of disease
admit that it is based on utter nonsense Synthetic chemicals in the
environment and in your food, as problematic as they may be, are not
the main cause of cancer. Drugs and surgery don’t cure the diseases
    that kill most Americans

  17. Vaccination is a great example of how fear motivates smart people into making irrational health decisions. My point being that fear of disease, not informed decision making, is most often the motivation for vaccinating.

  18. Disease is a choice. And there is only one disease, malfunctioning
cells. Cells will malfunction for only two reasons- they are not
getting everything they need (deficiency) and/or they are getting
something they do not need (toxicity). The Breakfast of Chumps manages
to be both nutrient deficient and toxic and is a sure-fire pathway to
    disease.

  19. Did you know that approximately 125,000 Americans die yearly from drugs approved for safety by the FDA

  20. when it comes to most catastrophic illnesses, medical doctors are
clueless. They merely manage symptoms and push test numbers up and
down. And when it comes to health and nutrition, for the most part,
things are even worse; doctors are often arrogantly ignorant. On
average, the typical doctor spends a total of 6-8 hours in their
entire medical career studying health and nutrition — and yet they
feel free to dogmatically pronounce on all aspects of diet and
supplementation with less knowledge than any lay person who has read
two good books on the subject. For shame!

  21. Here is something to think about… this came from the book Cancer step outside the box……..
What if I were to take some mercury, formaldehyde, aluminum, antifreeze, and live viruses cultured in dead animal tissue, then mix it together with some peanut butter and spread it on a piece of bread for my kids to eat as a snack? Would you think I was a good parent? What is I was to say ‘This will keep them from getting sick’? Would you question my sanity? The odds are that I would likely be arrested for child abuse. However, when doctors inject our babies with the SAME ingredients (less the peanut butter) and tell us ‘this will keep them from getting sick,” most of us don’t give it a second though.

  22. i would like to tell the Catholic school’s information on MMR vaccine is being
    >grown on aborted fetal tissue?

  23. To give you an example of the quantity of poison we are exposed to each year, consider the following amounts released into the environment in 1989 alone:
    * Over 550,000,000 pounds of industrial chemicals were dumped into public sewage storage.
    * More than 1,000,000,000 pounds of chemicals were released into the ground, threatening our natural ground water sources.
    * Over 188,000,000 pounds of chemicals were discharged into surface waters, i.e. lakes and rivers.
    * More than 2,400,000,000 pounds of air emissions were pumped into the atmosphere.
    * The grand total of chemical pollutants released into the environment was 5,705,670,380 pounds. That is enough to fill a line of semi-trailers parked bumper to bumper and having a cargo capacity of 45,000 pounds each, stretching from downtown Los Angeles to Des Moines, Iowa!
    Toxins in Our Food
In the United States, we allow 10,000 food and chemical additives into our food supply. The average American eats about fourteen pounds of additives a year. In addition to colorings, preservatives, flavorings, emulsifiers, humectants, and antimicrobials, we consume on average 120 pounds of sugar and eight pounds of salt.

  24. Could you please bring up the subject of Fybromyalgia on the show? I have been diagnosed with the disease, and I’m beyonb frustration exhaustion, and hope. I heard that in Spain they have a very high rate of suicides due to this disease, and I can assure I can totally understand it, it is so hopeless to have such debilitating and not being able to do anything about it. This disease is ruining my life, myself and my relatioship, as a mother, wife, friend. It is so frustrating, and when people ask you how do you feel? you don’t want to sound like a broken record; but not a day goes by that I can honestly say I’m good, that doesn’t exist. At the beginning I was giving a whole bunch of medication that it only made me into a zombie. Not getting real relieve and only accomplihing to becomming into another problem; Addiction. I stop all those drugs, I have trying to deal with the disease just taking pain killers, and every now and then when I feel that it’s been so long since I had a good night of sleep, I take sleeping pills. So, there that’s more or less my story, but please please please, bring the issue to the show. I would greatly appreciate it.
    Hopefull,
    Grace Viera

  25. To The Doctrs:
It was a pleasure to see your show for the first time this morning (8/9) and to hear divergent viewpoints, without rancor, and with a modern flair.
My comment involves a vital omission when your panel of doctors tried to advise this worried and frustrated mother about her fretful, probably collicky baby. In addition to the possibilities that were mentioned, not one of your panel asked the mother if she lived in a fluoridated area or if she was giving the baby fluoride supplements. For starters, you can contact the LA LECHE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL. They have litrature about fluoride being a cause of baby’s fussiness, gastric upsets, collicky symptoms, etc.
I hope the word “fluoride” in a negative sense is not a forbidden word on your program because if it is, you will be missing one of the causes of very real adverse reactions that plagues babies, and, in fact, others of all ages in the general population as well.
Since the 500+ page fluoride report was released by the National Research Council (NRC/NAS, the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has advised that fluoridated water not be used to make infant formula up to the age of a year. Yet this mother that called in has a baby only 6 months of age. Is fluoride in her baby’s formula, I wonder.
Babies are only one of a number of high risk segments of the population susceptible to the toxic effects of fluoride/fluoridation. For instance, the National Kidney Foundation has recently withdrawn its endorsement of fluoridation out of concern for kidney patients.
For documented information, utilize the web site of http://www.fluoridealert.org for illuminating details, data, scientific studies, profssional opponents of fluoridation, etc.

  26. I need info on spots in eyes “floaters” I have in both eyes I have been to 3 different eye professionals all they say if you see flashes of light or someone pulling shades get to doctor immediately!! Can you please comment on this soon or tell me where find help?? Thanks I think your show will ge Great!!
    Thanks
    Carolyn

  27. It is so great to see the public consensus on vaccinations is finally a well informed one. The medical community better come up with some new scam because the gag is up on vaccines.
Regarding your show, I would hope there would be an episode on the topic of Chiropractic. It is time for the public to know that there is an a natural option to lack of health ( known as disease- by any name). Chiropractic deals with the nervous system which controls and coordinates every system, cell, organ, and muscle in your body. It is the master controller. More and more people are finally understanding that more drugs do not make you healthy. Eating right, exercising, rest, ad mostimportantly gettingyour spine and nervous system checked regularly will -allow your body to function at it’s God-Given potential.
If you are missin to truly help people, i challenge you to have a chiropractor on.
Email me for info on finding a chiropractor that will represent the profession properly.

  28. I started hot flashes about age 55 at which time they were alleviated by hormone replacements. Within a couple of years various studies showed homones taken in this manner were detrimental to women’s health, i.e., breast cancer, etc.
I have had these hot flashes for almost 15 years and do not have relief since I am on Evista for osteopenia (even though I have been a distance runner for over 30 years). Evista’s side effect is hot flashes. The treating physician states this particular medication helps the area of bone which was shown the most fragile (hip and upper leg area), therefore does not feel it is necessary to change the medication.
Is there some way I can get relief from these hot flashes, or what else can I say to my doctor. Should I go to an OB/GYN for in depth analysis and treatment of both hot flashes and osteopenia. And yes, I also lift weights and eat properly…
    Thanks.

  29. i have sleepapnea was given a mask with a warning that it could cause suffacation or electrocution.they don,t even electrocute criminals anymore. nothing was said about working to make it better or taking steps to make it safe(or safer) as if that is good enough. must of been approved by F D A .

  30. Hi, today is September 11 and I just watched your show introducing the O face lift in 3 days. I was wondering how much that blond cosmetologist would have to pay for all she had done.
Danke very much and exitedly waiting for your reply.:-)
    Marika Tarver

  31. I was watching your show today (9/12) and saw the story of the couple who were both in the hospital at the time the wife was in labor. I know this was referred to as a medical miracle. I just wanted to share my own experience with a medical miracle. In May of 2005, my mother became ill and we thought she had the flu. I was taking her to the doctor, and they realized it was more serious than that, so they sent her to the ER. Come to find out, she had necrotizing fasciitis, the flesh-eating disease. It had started on the upper left thigh, into the groin area. She was taken by helicopter from Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA to MCV in Richmond, VA. There we were told she would be unconscious for about two days while they debreeded and did surgeries. Apparently, the disease had gone systemic, and her organs were shutting down. Her kidneys failed and she had to be put on dialysis. They told us to call in our family because it did not look like she would survive. She was in a coma for 13 days….she woke up the day before Mother’s Day. I was so amazed by what God had done in her life. She is truly a miracle! She didn’t have to have any limbs removed, which often happens in these cases, but most importantly, she is alive! All in all she ended up being in the hospital for 7 1/2 weeks, and was able to come home two weeks before my wedding. The first time she walked without a walker was to walk down the aisle as she was being seated at the wedding. Anyway, I didn’t want to get into too much detail here, but wanted to share the story of my mother as a medical miracle!

  32. I was fasinated by the O facelift procedure. Are other Drs. doing it,and if so, where? How can I find out? The show is great, and very informing.
Dr. Orlen performed the operation. Please let me know. Kaye Dunmire

  33. http://www.beinghealthynaturally.com/eatinghealthy/toxicfood.htm
this is just a reminder of the show I saw this month on (like a PBS channel) and I was stunned by it. A female author explained how many illnesses are caused because we dont rid ourselves of the toxins we put in our mouth daily, (we don’t wash all fruits and veg)
She spoke of what’s REALLY in our water. Some of are proud of how we don’t use drugs/or eat wrong etc, howevre, the water has things/drungs/etc in it that would shock you out of long hot showers.
I will never again take long showers due to what seeps into our skin as we do. I apologize for not writing down her name and book was it was amazing.
It also stated, what happens when we don’t eat the proper nutrients (instead of it leaving us through our liver,)our liver simply RECYCLES it awhile which is pure toxins. Without the right and enough fiber, toxins don’t leave and cause all sorts of illnesses. I read about how cooked veg has more figer than raw; but raw or cooked, its great. If I find this book, I’ll put it on this site. I love The Doctors show because we need this kind. I also like Oprah’s Dr Oz for the same reasons. Its time our nation STOPS BEING THE BIGGEST NATION OF THE WORLD. We’re getting far too unhealthy.

  34. Joe is right about the FDA PLUS…the FDA does not test everything that we’re allowed to buy-eat (thousands of chemicals)because its too expensive for them. THEY DONT CARE what kills us or makes us sick.

  35. I’m sorry I didn’t edit my two inputs. I think we can learn alot on The Doctors show.

  36. Liposuction and cosmetic surgery for a 12-year-old . . .
I understand the child’s health risks, but it seems her motivation is way beyond “health” today.
The mother said allowing her daughter to have plastic surgery is like allowing a child to have a car. EXACTLY!! Inappropriate and risky for A CHILD, no matter how mature she appears.

  37. Your comments made on the show that talked about children and plastic surgery, were not only wrong but insulting. You showed a clip of Stephanie Keluba, the yuong girl from S,Florida who died after a rare allergic reaction to anethesia. What you did not mention was that she was having CORRECTIVE surgery for a birth defect and that she was 18 years old. I knew Stephanie personally, as my daughter cheered with her. To have to keep defending her name after everything her family has been through is insane-she is gone and it could have been an appendisitis with the same outcome. Get your facts straight before you tell the story!!!

  38. To “The Doctors”:
I hope you will do a story about repetitive stress injuries. These are increasing rapidly due to the use of computers, video games, Blackberries, etc. An especially severe repetitive stress injury is Thoracic Outlet Syndrome or “TOS”. I am permanently disabled due to TOS. Many with the disorder have become homeless due to their inability to work. I am barely able to use my arms. A complicating factor for many sufferers is that many, if not most, doctors are not yet knowledgeable about TOS.
I believe my disability could have been prevented with education about prevention of carpal tunnel and other repetitive stess injuries, including TOS. I also believe that you could prevent many, many others from becoming injured or disabled by doing a story on these syndromes and how to prevent them. Two specialists I would recommend are Dr. Samuel Ahn at UCLA in LA and Dr. Kaj Johansen in Seattle.
    Thank you.

  39. around 13 years ago Dr. Rosenkranz performed surgury on our daughter ileen. we are very grateful for Dr. Rosenkranz and this show. ileen is a healthy 14 year old girl. she was born with a VSD, and pulminary artresia. i must say florida is a blessed state with him on board. Dr.Rosenkranz is a beautiful person. from the depths of our hearts comes thanks. God bless you and thank you for this wonderful show.

  41. Doctors,
When my son turned 1 year, I began the weaning process. However, we continued the last night time feeding and he is now 14 months. My questions are: Is once a day helping anything at all or is it too little to count? And with winter on its way and a big brother coming home from school with germs to share; should I continue the nursing throughout the winter months, or is he too old to get any extra benefits from nursing?
confused about stopping or not, Angel

  42. doctors- I am responding to the recent show you had about post partum depression. I am a RN and would like to voice my concerns in regards to the woman that feels she is still suffering from post partum even after 2-3 years after birth. I believe that this lady needs to seek help and assistance right away. I do not believe that it is post- partum, but some other imbalance. I ask to please follow up with her and get her the help that she so desperately needs. Your show is amazing and I am learning about things I never even knew exhisted. Sincerly – Tonya

  43. I have recently been diagnosed as Perimenopausal. My new (wonderful) Gyne suggested a phytoprolief cream applied around the time my melatonin increases (bedtime). After just 3 days, my sagging skin seemed to gain a small amount of subcutaneous fat, my complexion was slightly improved and I’ve had other subtle positive changes in my mood. I’ve been using it for 4 weeks & the benefits have leveled off now. I run 3-4x/week, lift weights 2x/wk, & do pilates at least once/wk. My work schedule, however, limits my consistency. I’m a nurse & work 13-15 hours/day, 3-4 days/week in a row. During the long hours, I eat my lunch in a rush, can’t eat or drink at my work station, and at times its hard to take bathroom breaks. I have been steadily gaining weight for the past 5 months regardless of my workouts on days off. (about the time I started at this hospital) I have nothing left when I get home, and lately, fatigue sets in on my days off. When I get home from work, I eat like there’s no tomorrow, and I crave sweets so much, I can barely think of nothing else. Its like an addict! I have learned to make whole wheat & whole grain breads which I take for lunch with leftover fish & veggies & brown rice. but if there are cookies or donuts in my presence, I truly have no control (depending on how hungry I am)
So In the mist of managing perimenopausal, with fluctuation estrogen & progesterone out of its “normal” cycle, how do I also manage the hormones that control my appetite (satiety & hunger)? Are there supplements that work? Shall I go on a high protein diet?, Is there anything I can incorporate into my diet?
PLEASE do segments on this & natural foods & herbs that help with issues such as this. I will be watching

  46. This is a comment about the show about the man who lost half of his face and is facing treatment in the Hyperbaric chamber. I had Bowen’s disease on the top of my head. After all the cancer was removed, I had a hard time healing. The final thing that was tried was the hyperbaric machine every day for two hours a day for 6 weeks. I was not told that it would cause cataracts to form prematurely. It really messed up my vision and I am concerned for this man because he has only one good eye remaining. Please tell him of my concern. It did help to finally heal my head, but what long term effects am I going to receive in the future, besides my eyes.

  56. Question about this product Bypass2 Slimball Biogranule just want to know if it is safe or is it worth trying i am a diabetic and have high blood pressure also i am also taking a blood thinner as well please let me know if this is a safe product and if it would be worth taking

  57. Dear Doctors;
I received what seem like a miracle in the mail.
It’s called Bypass2 SlimBall.(herbal gastric balloon) It has been in Europe since 2006. There
is no surgery. If you need to lose 20 lbs, you take 1. Fifty or more lbs. you take three before each meal. My question is, have you heard of this product, if so, how safe is it? It sounds ligical if it works. I don’t want to waste more
money on something that sounds like a miracle.
Some of the pictures showing results in the article are phenomenal, 90 lbs in 37 days, 42lbs
in 21 days ect. The article states, “The huge advantage for Bypass2 SlimBall (beside advoiding
an operation) is that Bypass2 SlimBall is literrally stuffed with vitamins and trace elements that tone the entire organism.”
Please let me know what you think.

  59. How do I find the name of the machine shown on the show over the week of 12/22/08, for liposuction? I have hunted all over-I am not proficient on the computer, just want the name of the machine. I probably won’t be able to find this site again, so E-mail me if you know. Thanks.

  60. Can anyone out there get me internet source for the Body Buddy divice that was on a recent show that the audience each got free……I am having trouble getting info on the maker, cost, availablity and contact info. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

  61. I watched your program regarding the facial makeup for skin conditions,ie,burns, scars etc., and I am interested in finding out about the makeup you used called Glymed. Dr. Christine Heathman did a makeover of a young woman with a birth scar on her face and body.
I have a daughter with burn scars on her face, and would like to try some of this product on her, but have been unable to find any outlets that distribute the product. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  62. On 2/18/09, on you discussed lubricants for stimulation of the clitoras indicating you would tell where they could be purchased. I never heard any address during the show. Could I possibly get an address? Also, I am 55 yrs old and have had a total hysterectomy in ’99 (I never had children). My husband and I have been unable to have intercourse for the last 3 yrs. due to various problems (mostly with me). I am not moist anymore, my vulva skin is paper thin and tears sometimes even when I wash (can you imagine how it would be with friction)? Also, my vaginal opening has shrunk until there is no entering me without tearing me assunder. He doesn’t want to hurt me and of course it wouldn’t be pleasant to me because we have tried and I tear so badly that I bleed and he still can’t completely enter me. I’m on hormone pills (have been since my surgery), and recently so a sex specialist who put me on extra hormone cremes and others. Will this allow the skin that has shrunk loosen up enough that he can enter me without pain and tearing? I thought may Dr. Masterson could give me some pointers. One ob/gyn (who performed the surgery) told me about a yr ago I had a vagina of an “old woman”…. My husband also has high blood pressure and is on medication which sometimes hinders him in staying ready for me if at all. Will there ever be a time that our sex life will be back to normal. We have been married for 21 yrs and have been together for almost 25 yrs. He is overweight but is on a diet and is doing very well on it. I feel too young to have my sex life ended; thus am willing to try anything. That’s why I wanted to know where to get the potions you discussed on todays show. I have learned alot from watching all of you. I would love to have some cosmetic work on my face because my other problems seems to find me unhappy with myself and unfortunately I inherited the excess skin under the chin, eyes and mouth. I still like to dress young because I’m built petite and watch my weight. I have seen some of Dr. Ordon’s work from TV and he seems great. We don’t have much money but I don’t know how insurance works when it comes to plastic surgery or lifts. Also, I have excessive migraines which doesn’t help put alot of smiles on my face. I would greatly appreciate it if you could answer my email and help me with some of my prolems. This information being posted is embarrassing to say the least but I would like to get my lift back. I would also like to know if collegan morning drinks would help my complexion and make it look youthful again. I heard women in Begeing take it on a regular basis to keep their perfect complexion. I know this was long but I don’t do this sort of thing since I live in a small community where everyone knows you. Can you help? Please? I live near Winston-Salem, NC and I’m sure you all are in CA so no chance of meeting you or having me on your show but, I would appreciate an answer to my email.

Where the pain is, I also get a feeling that my leg is going from a feeling of cold, iciy, wet to burning hot. When touched it feels normal. Just before bed or while trying to sleep it acts up. Just a couple of days ago I twisted my knee now its hard for me to drive or walk with out pain. I called a local nurse and they said that it maybe be hives under skin or a pulled muscle. Is there anything I could do at home taht would stop or even reduce the pain.

Sidebar: North Dakota just passed a law that the eggs/embryos , are legally human beings. New twist to the embryos of the lady who just had, 8 children. Also isn’t it the male who has the twin DNA gene? That how it has been in my father’s family. I am a multiple birth. Born just over 2 pounds. Her children are healthier than I was at that age. Many sides to this issue.
I remember the days, when girls from North Dakota went to the abortion ?doctor? in South Dakota. Came home really ill. Altered their life. South Dakota has new abortion laws also. So go the days of legal abortion as a choice.
Also have observed how parents who’s daughter’s are disabled have to take their daughter’s to Mexico to get their tubes tied. Parents knowing their daughter’s could not care for a child due to their disability.
In the ideal world supported living/competitive employment for folks with disabilities was strong and a better option of state institutions. I now watch legislation cut funding and support to assist folks with disabilities live in the real integrated world . Disabled folks fall through the cracks. Folks with Mental Health issues along with other disabilities fall faster and deeper.

  74. I AM VERY DISSAPPOINTED IN YOU DOCTORS IN NOT LISTENING TO SOMEONE ELSE’S OPINION. WHEN I WAS LITTLE, WHICH IS 60 YEARS AGO. WE NEVER HAD ALL THE SHOTS THAT THERE ARE GIVING CHILDREN NOW. MY SISTER AND I HAD TO RECOMMENDED SHOT IN THE 1946 AND ON. AND I DON’T REMEMBER GOING TO GET AS MANY SHOT AS YOU WANT ALL THE KIDS OF TODAY TO GET. I THINK IT IS ONLY FAIR, THAT IF THEIR OUR MORE KIDS GETTING AUTISM, THEN WHY DON’T YOU LISTEN TO SOMEONE, THAT HAS AN AUTISTIC CHILD. AND START GIVING THE SHOTS THE WAY THEY USED TO GIVE THEM. WHAT HARM IS THEIR. YOU DOCTORS HAS NOT TOLD THE TRUTH ABOUT THE BIRTH CONTROL PILLS AND PREGNANTED HORSE URINE, AND THE PHYSICIANS DESK REFERENCE, TO FIND OUT ABOUT SIDE EFFECTS. HOW CAN WE BELIEVE ANY OF YOU DOCTORS, WHEN IT COMES TO GIVING SHOTS!!!!! WE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT ALL THE SIDE EFFECTS OF ANY MEDICINES, IN THE FIRST PLACE. SO HOW DARE YOU COME OUT NOW, AND GET MAD AT PEOPLE, BECAUSE THEY DON’T BELIEVE YOU DOCTORS ANYMORE!!!! YOU LOST OUR TRUST!!!!!
DO MORE TESTING, AND FIND OUT IF THIS IS POSSIBLE THAT SHOTS ARE GIVING CHILDREN AUTISIM!!!! YOU WERE WRONG ON THE PREGNATED HORSE URINE, AND ALL THE CANCERS, HOW DO YOU THINK WE CAN BELIEVE YOU IN ANYOTHER OF THE MEDICINES THAT YOU ARE GIVING OUT!!! WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO QUESTION YOU DOCTORS, SINCE THE TRUTH WAS NEVER REVEALED, WHEN PREMARIN, AND BIRTH CONTROL PILLS WERE PRODUCED. CANCERS ALL OVER THE PLACE. SHAME ON YOU, IF YOU ARE’NT LISTENING TO PEOPLE THAT HAVE TO GO THRU THE HARM THAT HAPPENS WHEN DOCTORS THINK THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!! REMEMBER YOU ARE NOT GODS!!!!! YOU CAN BE WRONG, START TESTING, AND FORGET ABOUT THE PHARMACIES THAT YOU ARE TRYING TO MAKE MONEY FOR!!!!!!

  75. I am 26 years old. I have lost over 100 pounds by dieting and exercising daily. I have been able to keep the weight off now for 7 years. The only problem now is I have a lot of excess skin hanging from my arms stomach and thighs. My insurance will not pay for the surgery to remove this skin nor can I afford to have it removed out of my own pocket. Do you know of any hospitals or surgeons that would help with this expensive surgery, I am more than willing to donate the skin. Please help!
    Thanks,

  77. Hello Doctors,
I need your help! I have been diagnosed with Patulous Eustachian Tube Disorder. (PET). This is very irritating and miserable. It’s like I live under the water all day long. It is affecting my job. It started about 8 months ago and is progressively getting worse. The only relief I can get is to lay down or to use AYR solution and get some temporary relief. When I eat something and start moving around upright my ears start filling full and all of a sudden I hear myself speaking, hearing my breathing, nose fills stuffy and everything echos like crazy. I find myself not wanting to speak. My ENT specialist says that surgery has not been successful and he prescribed some nasal spray which has a lot of estrogen in it. My mother had breast cancer and my OBGYN does not want me to use the spray. The prescription is for a total of 6 mg. per day. Each spray has .5mg and I am suppose to use it 2 sprays in each nostril 3 times a day. I spoke with my ENT Dr. today and we talked about only using .5 in one nostril to see if this will help. It is so difficult living with this disorder. I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis and I am on Prednisone, anti-imflammatories, methrotraxate and lots of vitamins. I also have acid reflux with is going into my throat and am on Nexium and Zantac. The medicine seems to not have taken hold as of yet. Is there a correlation between acid reflux and PET? It seems like after I eat, I am constantly clearing my throat, coughing, nose dripping and ears have a crackling sound? Is there any solution for me to help with the PET? I appreciate any advise you may have for me. I really enjoy your show. It is very informative.

m eighty years Old and almost 81,I am writing about aloe vera. it is never mentioned and I think it should be. When my husband and I were first married I could not stand to drive with him because he raised such a stink. Then he tried drinking Aloe Vera. He hasn’t had any gas from that point on. And then one night I had such a pain and I got up out of bed and tooka couple swallows of Aloe Vera. It settled my stomach immediately, He has taken it for fifteen years and has never had a problem. I’m sure that aloe vera is used for many things also.

  83. Hi Doctors,
I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask a question, but gonna do it anyway. I love your show, but I only get to watch it on Tuesdays and Thursdays! That sucks! Anyway I’ve been told that I can run into some very serious problems if I do not get knee replacement surgery. I am bone on bone on both legs, I work on the NYSE, and am on my feet all day. Would you suggest this surgery? I have had my knees drained and cortisone w/anesthesia injections in both knees and its helped….but they are very unpleasant to say the least! The liquid came out lime green which I thought was wierd, is that normal? Might I be a candidate for Synvisc One? Like I said I am bone on bone in both knees. I was very athletic in younger years, but now I am told I have osteoarthritis. Pain mgmt has put me on methadone for the pain, but you build up such a tolerance, my husband calls me a “monster”, my tolerance is so high. I am due for surgery in one knee this month, my other problem is can I bleed to death, or wake up during surgery from the methadone? I take 130 mgs a day, pill form. I know there is alot of questions in here, but I am scared to death of surgery, and how much anesthesia they will have to give me. Love you guys and your show! kelly
P.S. Try to answer this on Tues or Thurs please!!!!!

  155. Why in the hell do we allow for the UN to stay in UN and support it? Kick it out! And, the applause because of this fanatic should make it Much more critical that there be no mosque at Ground Zero.

  156. Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

  241. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
