A. Smith & Co. Productions announced today that it has named Alan S. Winter as its senior VP of production. Smith will oversee day-to-day production activities for the company, which is known for unscripted programs such as “I Survived a Japanese Game Show” and “Trading Spaces.”
He will report to company CEO and founder Arthur Smith and President Kent Weed.
“Alan brings an immense amount of experience and success to the A. Smith team,” Smith and Weed said in a joint statement. “In the reality business you want to go to camera not only with a great concept and subject, but also with an executive that can handle the fast pace, and ever-evolving nature of what unfolds, and Alan is such an executive.”
Winter has a wide range of television experience, including producing directing and writing shows for ABC, NBC, Fox, FX and ESPN as well as syndication.
