BET and TVOne have joined the roster of networks carrying the Obama-mercial—Barack Obama’s half-hour broadcast airing on most of the broadcast networks Wednesday night.
A message on Sen. Obama’s Web site said the two cable networks will join CBS, NBC, Fox, Univision and MSNBC in carrying the paid commercial. The broadcast will not be seen on ABC.
The Obama campaign also is rallying supporters to turn Wednesday night’s commercial into an event, soliciting volunteers to host viewing parties for the mysterious broadcast. After watching the broadcast, the campaign is urging supporters to begin making phone calls on behalf of Sen. Obama.
“Gather your friends, family and neighbors at your house to make calls and watch Barack’s historic broadcast that will be airing on Wednesday, Oct. 29, on several major networks,” reads a message on the Obama Web site.
The Obama camp has been mum as to the specifics of Wednesday night’s broadcasts, though one report on MSNBC indicated the campaign had enlisted several “TV professionals” to help put together the show. The campaign doesn’t have to deliver a copy of the show to networks until Wednesday morning, according to one network insider who spoke on the condition that he not be named.

May we engulf and appreciate being a part of history in the making; far too many family members and friends have departed and therefore will not “physically” be able to share in the experience. I will be glued to the television!

I am so glad that you won Obama , the news was very emotional to me , I said yes, finally history for the first black president who will bring about change that is needed. I celebrated for you and had to toast to some wine, as well as my neighborhood threw a party in congratulations to you. I am sorry for your lost , but I am sure your grandmother is very proud of you.
