ABC News Executive VP Dave Davis traveled to Washington, D.C., Friday afternoon to tell “This Week With George Stephanopoulos” staffers that Ian Cameron, the Washington senior producer for “World News” for seven years, is the new executive producer of the show.
ABC News declined to confirm the announcement, which is expected to be made public Monday.
Mr. Cameron joined ABC News in 1998 as a producer for “World News Tonight With Peter Jennings.” He led an investigative team and set the direction for “Your Money” segments. He was part of the team that won a Peabody Award for ABC News coverage of 9/11.
Prior to ABC News, Mr. Cameron was Washington bureau chief of English Television News for the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.
He succeeds Katherine O’Hearn as executive producer of the Sunday morning show that has become competitive for No. 2 with CBS’ “Face the Nation” in the ratings race that has been dominated by NBC’s “Meet the Press” in the past couple of years.

  4. I am extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a nice blog like this one these days.. 🙂
