Charlie Collier has been promoted to president of AMC, Rainbow Media announced Monday.
Under Mr. Collier, who had been executive VP and general manager of the cable network, AMC successfully increased its original drama series with award-winning shows “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad.”
In his new position, Mr. Collier continues to report to Ed Carroll, president of national entertainment services at Rainbow Media.
“Under Charlie’s direction, AMC has been transformed into a network that critics and the industry agree is home to the best dramas on television,” Mr. Carroll said in a statement. “He has elevated the brand to new heights, and has presided over AMC during a period of record growth and success.”
