Fall Season Brought Broadcasters Online Bump

Online video traffic to the Web sites of the broadcast networks surged in September when the fall television season launched, according to data released today from Nielsen Online.
NBC.com saw the biggest monthly bump, with a 312% rise in unique viewers in September to 5.6 million. ABC.com drew 5.2 million uniques, a 105% rise; CBS.com attracted 3.3 million uniques, up 38%; and Fox.com scored 1.4 million unique visitors, up 165%.
Fox kept those viewers for the longest time, with viewers spending 114 minutes per viewer on Fox.com in September, compared with 48 minutes on CBS.com, 46 on ABC.com and 35 on NBC.com.
