NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music and Consumer Products Group and Propworx have teamed up to auction off props from Sci Fi Channel’s “Battlestar Galactica.”
The props, costumes and set pieces will be auctioned live and online beginning Jan. 16 at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, Calif.
Preview day on Jan. 16 will feature panel discussions with the creative team that developed the props.
The live auction of hundreds of items from the show’s first three seasons, including a life-size Viper, Caprica Six’s red dress and President Laura Roslin’s desk, will take place Jan. 17-18 and will be available for electronic bidding at www.battlestarprops.com.
Two hundred items then will be offered on eBay Jan. 20 for bidding Jan. 23-30. Additional items will be put up for auction weekly with the airing of each “Battlestar Galactica” episode.
“We are all fans of ‘Battlestar Galactica’ and are excited to see how the series concludes,” Stacey Ward, director of NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music and Consumer Products Group, said in a statement. “We are also really excited to be able to offer both fans and collectors this incredible opportunity to own a piece of science fiction television history as the series concludes.”

  1. I’ve to say that I concur together with the sentiments about getting AOL as range one. The comments posted along side it sum it up nicely, that it does almost nothing to strengthen the model, but only adds confusion.Out of the perfect rebrands within the l ist, I’d put SyFy at the top. Initially I hated the title, for the reason that I thought they did it ??just because,??? when the truth is that they had to alter their identify because of becoming unable to legally use Sci-fi.??? Now fairly than coming up with a whole new name that nobody would know- and quite possibly lose lots from the previously built in SciFi??? brand- they caught together with the aged name with a bit of word play. I can still call SyFy Sci-fi when it arrives up, and that helps make me happy.
