Berry, Perry to Host Image Awards

Halle Berry and Tyler Perry have been tapped to host the 40th Annual NAACP Image Awards, airing live Feb. 12 on Fox from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
In addition to marking the 40th awards ceremony, the day also marks the 100th anniversary of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
“Halle and Tyler have broken many barriers in the entertainment industry,” Image Awards Chairperson Clayola Brown said in a statement. “In this historic centennial year, their successes remind us of the immense progress that has been made in the last 100 years and gives us continued hope for the progress that our nation will achieve in the future.”
