Showtime’s Golden Globe nominated series “Dexter” concluded its third season on Sunday with the most viewers the network has had for a series since the ratings system changed in 2004.
The “Dexter” finale drew 1.5 million viewers at 9 p.m., with another 491,000 tuning in to a replay at 11 p.m.
Another of Showtime’s series getting Golden Globe nominations, “Californication,” also ended its season on Sunday. “Californication” drew 615,000 viewers at 10 p.m. and another 322,000 at 10:30 p.m.
The finale was “Californication’s” highest numbers for the season, but its audience was down about 10% from the finale last season, when “Weeds” served as its lead in.
