3.8 Million Hear Lifetime’s ‘Prayers’

Lifetime’s original movie “Prayers for Bobby” drew 3.8 million viewers in its premiere Saturday night, and another 2.3 million for its encore Sunday night.
The film, starring Sigourney Weaver as a mother who questions her strong religious beliefs after her gay son commits suicide, posted a 3.1 household rating Saturday and a 1.7 on Sunday.
The Saturday premiere also scored a 1.8 (1 million) among women 18-49 and a 2.0 (1.1 million) among women 25-54.
By comparison, Lifetime’s most recent original film, “Flirting With Forty” starring Heather Locklear, drew 4 million viewers in its premiere, while last spring’s “The Memory Keeper’s Daughter” drew 5.8 million viewers and ranks as the network’s most-watched original film telecast in the last year.
