The first official day of NATPE on Monday was light on sessions for attendees, while a slow trickle of pickups and news dribbled out of the convention, building toward Tuesday’s opening of the show floor.

Among the announcements:
—CBS Television Distribution announced it is bringing “Star Trek: The Next Generation” back into broadcast syndication after eight years. It’s currently cleared as a weekday strip in 83% of the country and in 29 of the top 30 markets.
—Litton Entertainment set “Street Court” as a firm go for next season, clearing 65% of the country. The show’s Judge Mazz takes plaintiffs and defendants back to the scene of the crime to find out the guilty party. Litton also renewed “Storm Stories” for a second season.
—MGM’s and Weigel Broadcasting’s multicasting endeavor, THIS TV, has reached clearances in 60% of the country, including Tribune’s KTLA-TV in Los Angeles. THIS TV dips into MGM’s movie and television vault for content.
—Disney-ABC Domestic Television is putting “Legend of the Seeker” into production for a second season as Tribune stations elected to renew the weekend adventure-fantasy hour.
—Trifecta Entertainment & Media and TriStar Media are launching BET movie “Nite Tales” as a weekly series. The “Twilight Zone”-like series, hosted by Flavor Flav, is Trifecta’s first scripted-programming endeavor.
—Disney-ABC Television Group President Anne Sweeney, co-creator/executive producer of “Two and a Half Men” Chuck Lorre, writer-director-actor-producer Tyler Perry and NBC Entertainment Co-Chairman Ben Silverman were honored at the sixth annual Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Awards.
