Zaneri to Head BET Programming

BET Networks has appointed Barbara Zaneri executive VP of programming, strategy, scheduling and acquisitions.
Ms. Zaneri, who will be based in New York, will lead the network’s program planning, scheduling and acquisitions teams, in addition to overseeing its programming strategy.
Ms. Zaneri has been president of Choice Entertainment since 2004. In that position, she was an adviser on programming, development and production strategies for BET, MGM, Comcast, Cablevision, Ion and Qwest. She has overseen programming, acquisitions, scheduling and development for G4TV and served as senior VP of program planning and acquisitions for Spike TV.
“As we continue to deliver on BET’s programming strategy, we know it’s critical to add smart, savvy people like Barbara to our team,” Debra L. Lee, chairman and CEO of BET Networks, said in a statement. “She will be a huge asset to our team and brings great expertise, strong industry relationships and clear vision to BET Networks.”
