CBS Seeing Ratings Bounce for March Madness

CBS Sports says ratings for the first and second rounds of March Madness are up 6% from last year, based on overnight metered-market ratings from Nielsen.
This year’s games are averaging a 5.4 rating and 12 share, compared to a 5.1/12 in 2008.
Sunday’s games were up 10% from a year ago, scoring a 6.4 rating and 14 share. The late games, featuring wins by Louisville, Michigan State and Missouri, averaged an 8.1/16, up 14% from 2008, and almost on par with 2006’s 8.2/15.
