Celtics-Bulls’ Game 6 Breaks Cable Ratings Record

Last night’s TNT broadcast of Game 6 of the Boston Celtics-Chicago Bulls’ NBA Playoff game attracted the largest cable audience ever for a first-round basketball playoff game, the network said.
The game, a triple-overtime victory for Chicago, was watched in 4.05 million households, giving the broadcast a 3.5 rating, according to TNT. The first-round game also was last night’s most-watched cable program.
TNT will air Game 7 of the series live from Boston Saturday night at 8 p.m. EDT.
