CBS, with four wins, led the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ 7th Annual Emmy Awards for Business & Financial Reporting, presented today at Fordham University in New York.
PBS, with two wins, was the other multiple winner. BBC America and CFR.org also walked away with Emmys.
Awards were presented in eight categories recognizing outstanding achievement in business and financial reporting telecast or webcast between July 1, 2008, and June 30, 2009.
Emmys for promotional announcements were presented to CNBC and History channel.
In addition, the Lifetime Achievement Award in Business & Financial Reporting was presented to Paul Kangas, anchor and financial commentator for PBS’ "Nightly Business Report," and Linda O’Bryon, the news broadcast’s founder and currently chief content officer for Northern California Public Broadcasting.
