The New York State government is close to an agreement that would boost the tax credit on some television and film production costs to 30% from 10%, the Hollywood Reporter says. Such credits, originally proposed by ex-Governor Eliot Spitzer before he was pushed out of office by a prostitution scandal, are likely to extend through at least 2012, the newspaper reports.
