CBS News and CNN had conversations about sharing off-air resources in Baghdad, but CBS is not negotiating a broader deal to outsource its news gathering to the cable network, TVWeek reports. The New York Times reported that the organizations were engaged in broader talks that would pair CBS News personalities with CNN camera crews in order to cut its costs. CBS and CNN have had conversations in the past and CNN correspondent Christiane Amanpour and anchor Anderson Cooper have contributed to CBS News’ “60 Minutes.”
