Discovery Channel cameras followed the traumas and staff of an emergency room for the series “911: The Bronx,” New York Daily News reports. The programming was shot last summer at St. Barnabas, a teaching hospital in the Bronx, the newspaper says. Production did not always go smoothly as some patients did not give producers permission to use their stories, while Discovery was worried about the gritty nature of the show, the newspaper notes.
