MMTC Opposes FCC Localism Proposal

The Minority Media & Telecommunications Council urged the Federal Communications Commission to rethink reinstating a rule that would require broadcasters to locate their main studio in their city of license, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The move was proposed to support localism, but broadcasters argue it would decrease diversity and increase costs, the newspaper says.
