The American Cable Association is urging the FCC to change current retransmission-consent regulations, claiming they give too much control to broadcasters and limit cable customers’ access to local programming, TVNewsday reports. The ACA wants the FCC to allow cable systems to carry TV stations in adjacent, in-state markets, the Web site says.
