The Discovery Channel will premiere “Koppel on Discovery: The People’s Republic of Capitalism” on July 9, Multichannel News reports. The four-part documentary, which runs through July 12, follows Ted Koppel and his team in China as they investigate the earthquake in Sichuan province, the Beijing Olympics and the tribulations with the Chinese government, the newspaper says.

I look forward to Koppel’s series. His ability to cut to the chase, and present a well rounded full story, should give us some insight to the inner workings of this complex society we call China.
