Filmmaker George Lucas testified in front of the House Telecommunications & Internet Subcommittee in support of high-speed Internet access for students, school and libraries, Broadcasting & Cable reports. Lucas argued that connection fees for wiring schools and libraries should be waived as more and more of the world’s knowledge is online now rather than in textbooks, the newspaper says.
