Ratings for most syndicated shows were down in the week ending June 1, TVNewsday reports. Post-sweeps cutbacks in promotions, sports and political preemptions and the Memorial Day weekend are blamed for the weakened ratings, the Web site says. However, CBS Television Distribution’s “Dr. Phil” came within one-tenth of a rating point of tying the distributor’s top-rated “Oprah,” the Web site notes.
