Showtime’s “Weeds” is among successful shows that are trying to improve quality to attract a new audience by altering some of the shows’ basic characteristics, USA Today reports. For the fourth season of “Weeds,” which starts this week, the main character moves to a fictional California beach town after her neighborhood is burnt down. Another plot twist: Her friend and sometimes enemy Celia ends up in jail and begins working with the DEA, the newspaper says.
