The Weinstein Company is expanding its TV presence in light of the success of “Project Greenlight” and “Project Runway,” Daily Variety reports. Among the projects in development are “No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency” for HBO and a “Runway” spin-off, “Models of the Runway,” for Lifetime, Variety says. The company has also brought in David Spiegelman, formerly of New Line, to serve as president of domestic TV distribution, the trade paper says.
