ESPN Scales Back ‘SportsCenter’

ESPN will scale back its planned nine-hour “SportsCenter” block to six hours, the Hollywood Reporter says. Six live hours of the program will air Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the newspaper says. Hannah Storm and Josh Elliott will anchor the 9 a.m. to noon block, while Robert Flores and Chris McKendry will co-anchor the afternoon block, the newspaper notes.

  1. Nice bait and switch. ESPN makes the announcement *after* they sold most of their time in the upfront marketplace.
