McDonald’s Coffee Makes Morning News Desk

Fox 5 TV in Las Vegas is featuring two McDonald’s iced coffees on the desk of its 7 a.m. newscast, the Las Vegas Sun reports. The McDonald’s emblazed cups, which don’t hold real coffee and are not acknowledged by the anchors, are a “nontraditional revenue source,” according to KVVU News Director Adam P. Bradshaw, the newspaper says. Neither the station nor McDonald’s would disclose how much the company paid for the product placement, the newspaper notes.
