Networks are experimenting with different ways to get viewers to watch ads rather than fast-forward through them using digital video recorders, the Hollywood Reporter says. Some of the tactics: Showing additional content in a separate box during commercial breaks, or creating a whole new short-form sponsored series, such as the recent Dove series on MTV starring Alicia Keys, THR says.
