TiVo and Amazon.com have teamed up to introduce a product feature that will allow TiVo users to see and click on links to CDs, DVDs and books being promoted by guests on talk shows, the New York Times reports. Users will be able to save items in their Amazon account for purchase later, after which they will be returned to their automatically recorded program, the newspaper notes. TiVo plans to offer the feature to advertisers and programmers to highlight products presented in commercials and product placements during live shows, the newspaper says.
