Samsung and Sony are among companies in a consortium that will develop a standard format for sending wireless signals from a set-top box, expected by next year, the Associated Press reports. Motorola, Sharp and Hitachi also will be part of the group that develops the industry standard for wireless HD signal transmission that features chips made by Israel-based Amimon, the wire service reports.
