Dish Network says that although it lost 25,000 subscribers during the last quarter, the company’s net income rose 50% to $335.9 million from $224.2 million the year before, TelevisionWeek reports. The company cites competing high-def deals from other services and the growing interest in fiber-optic technology as the reason for the dip in customers, the newspaper says.
