E! Entertainment Television has bought the second-run rights for some current and upcoming theatrical releases, including “Sex and the City,” Daily Variety reports. The company paid about $7 million for “Sex” and other titles, including “The Women” and “He’s Just Not That Into You,” which will bow on other basic-cable networks first. The purchases will be part of E!’s “Movies We Love” franchise, which airs on Saturdays in prime time, the trade paper says.
