Favre’s Return Makes Ad Sales Jump

Networks with NFL broadcasting rights have been smiling ever since it was announced future Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre would be returning to the league after a quick retirement, The Hollywood Reporter says. Despite the slumping economy, sales have been good for ESPN, which will air a “Monday Night Football” game between the San Diego Chargers and Favre’s new team, the New York Jets, and CBS, which owns the rights to the AFC and thus will broadcast many Jets games.
