IAC Breakup Completed

Aug 22, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Internet conglomerate IAC officially finished its split Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reports. The move leaves Ticketmaster, Home Shopping Network, Interval Leisure Group and Tree.com to begin trading on their own. Thirty-five Web sites, including Match.com, Evite and Ask.com, will continue to operate under the IAC umbrella. IAC CEO Barry Diller hopes to prove a condensed business can operate more efficiently than huge conglomerates.
